Florida’s natural systems sustain its most important economic resources. The State of Florida is concerned about protecting its springs, wetlands, beaches, wildlife, forests, and ground and surface water to sustain its major industries of tourism, agriculture, and forestry. Oversight for the protection of these important resources is the responsibility of State government through the Water Management Districts, Florida Department of Agriculture, Florida Fish Wildlife Conservation Commission, and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Water & Air has assisted the State in these efforts.
